Quite frequently we stumbled across bottles along the roadside. First we thought it were water bottle to extinguish a fire. Luckily we didn’t have any fires because they are filled with gasoline for scooters.

The “Caretta Caretta” or “Loggerhead”  turtle’s mostlly live in the protected marinepark at the south of Zakynthos; the bay and beaches of Laganas, Kalamaki to Dafni and Gerakas. The greek government is doing it’s best to protect the loggerheads and their breading areas that affected by the many tourists.

It took about 3 hours to cross a raging river using zip-lines between huge trees.
