2014 was not a good year for Iceland. The volcano X erupted and crippled air traffic. Luckily, we could fly and also return home (unfortunately).

Quite frequently we stumbled across bottles along the roadside. First we thought it were water bottle to extinguish a fire. Luckily we didn’t have any fires because they are filled with gasoline for scooters.

The main road on the island – number 1 – is a perfectly maintained road. Secondary roads however are a different story.
