The water at the Xigia Beach smell a bit like rotting eggs. The water that pours into the sea from the rocks contains high amount of sulpher and collagen. Supposed to be good for your skin and the smell is not so bad.

The airport of Zakynthos is located directed behind the beach of Lanagas.

Marathonisi or Turtle Islands lays in the bay of Laganas.  The island seems to be one of the favorite places for turtle's to lay their eggs. 

Nice '50 American Diner with quite some vegetarian options on the menu.  Located on the strip of Laganas.
